WEEKEND WRAPUP
The Chargers were swept by Bemidji State this past weekend in their first-ever WCHA series, falling 6-1 on Friday before suffering a tight 1-0 defeat on Saturday.

BOUNCEBACK SATURDAYS
In both of their series' this season, UAH has suffered a five-plus goal defeat on Friday before bouncing back on Saturday to lose by a single goal.

OUTSCORED, BUT BARELY OUTSHOT
UAH has been outscored 19-4 this season, but have only been outshot 139-92.

BALANCING POINTS
Four players have recorded a team-best two points as Chad Brears, Frank Misuraca, Regan Soquila and Brandon Clowes each have two.

GOALTENDING GUERRIERO
Carmine Guerriero has displayed a pair of strong performances to start his young career in goal, having allowed just four goals in two starts and racking up 65 saves while holding a WCHA-best goals against average of 1.91.

BLUE LINERS
Brandon Carlson (pictured right) and Ben Reinhardt have been the strength of a struggling blue line for the Chargers, as the two have combined for 19 blocks.

PROMOTIONAL SLATE
The program is pulling out all the marketing stops this season, with eight scheduled giveaways and kids get in free nights scheduled throughout the 2013-14 season.

FAST START
Sophomore Chad Brears scored two of the Chargers' three goals over their weekend series at Northeastern. His two goals already surpassed his season total of one from last season while totaling his season output from last season with two points.

NEW LEADER
Head Coach Mike Corbett is the third head coach in less than a year in Huntsville and the sixth in program history. The team said goodbye to Kurt Kleinendorst when he accepted a job with the Iowa Wild, and said hello to a sought-after assistant in Corbett.  The former Air Force Associate Head Coach is one of seven new coaches in Division I this year.

About Ferris State

Historic Season: Ferris State won its second CCHA regular-season championship and finished as the national runner-up two years ago in 2011-12. The Bulldogs claimed the NCAA Midwest Regional title with two victories in Green Bay, Wis., and then topped Union (N.Y.) in the program's first-ever Frozen Four national semifinal game at the Tampa Bay Times Forum.  FSU suffered a 4-1 loss to Boston College in the national championship game on April 7 in Tampa to finish the most historic campaign in school history with a 26-12-1 overall record.

Season Notebook: Senior forward Garrett Thompson and linemate Justin Buzzeo each have a team-high tying seven points to date this year. Both have three goals and four assists to date .... Junior goaltender CJ Motte has been perfect in net this campaign with a 3-0 mark for the Bulldogs. He holds a 3.00 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage entering this weekend's action .... Eleven different Bulldog skaters have combined to record FSU's 17 goals to date this season. In addition, the squad's 26 assists have been earned by a total of 13 individuals ...... Ferris State has allowed only four power-play goals in 24 tries by the opponents this season.

St. Lawrence Series: Ferris State split two games versus previously unbeaten St. Lawrence in FSU's home-opening series the last time the Bulldogs took the ice on Oct. 18-19 ..... The Saints won the opener by a 3-2 score as they scored three-straight goals after the Bulldogs had taken a 2-0 edge in the opener ..... However, FSU rallied back from a 2-0 hole in game two by scoring five-straight goals en route to a 5-3 win .... A total of six different FSU?skaters scored goals on the weekend, including two from Justin Buzzeo ..... Freshman Seth Adams notched his first collgiate goal as the game-winner on Saturday ..... Sophomore Charles Williams earned the start in net in the opener with CJ?Motte picking up the victory in the series' finale.

Mercyhurst Notebook: Ferris State improved to 6-0-1 all-time versus Mercyhurst with the win and won for the third time in as many tries at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.  The trip to Erie was FSU's first since winning back-to-back games in 2005. Mercyhurst entered the year coming off a 19-win season a year ago in which the Lakers also reached the Atlantic Hockey title game.

Series History

Ferris State leads the all-time series by a 7-2-0 count heading into Friday's 10th-ever matchup between the two programs. The two teams played four games in the 2010-11 campaign with FSU?winning three of four contests. Overall, Ferris State is 6-0-0 at home and 1-1 on the road versus the Chargers. UAH posted a 5-4 overtime win over the Bulldogs during FSU's memorable 2002-03 CCHA Championship season at the Cingular/Connecticut Classic (12/29/02).  The Chargers' only other win over the Bulldogs was a 4-2 triumph in Huntsville (10/8/10).
