LAST TIME OUT
The Chargers saw their record slip to 0-8-0 over the weekend, dropping both games at Alaska Anchorage by finals of 3-1 and 6-1.

TOUGH COMPETITION
The schedule doesn't get easier for the Chargers, as they now welcome 3rd-ranked St. Cloud State to Huntsville this weekend. UAH lost 8-3 and 4-0 at St. Cloud a season ago.

SATURDAY STRUGGLE
For the first time this season, UAH was outscored by more in Saturday's game than they were on Friday's game.

LOADED SCHEDULE AHEAD
Including this weekend's games, the Chargers will play nine games against ranked opponents the rest of the season. That number may grow or shrink depending on the polls.

HIGHEST-EVER VISIT
St. Cloud State will be the highest ranked team ever to visit the Von Braun Center, coming in as the No. 3-ranked team in the country. UMASS-Lowell came into Huntsville as the No. 5-ranked team in the land. Ironically enough, those games were played on Nov. 13-14, just days before UAH will play St. Cloud State.

Through eight games this season, UAH has been outscored 36-8, including a 24-5 mark in the WCHA. Those numbers equate to a 4.5-1 goal average per game.

NOWHERE BUT UP
UAH ranks at the bottom of the WCHA in multiple team categories, including goals scored, goals allowed, penalty kill percentage and special teams net.

BREARS AND ALLAN SCORING
It has been Chad Brears and Alex Allan who have done the bulk of the scoring this season. Brears and Allan have both tallied three goals, while the rest of the team has only accounted for two total.

THE TRUE BLUE LINERS
Ben Reinhardt has been solid defensively on the blue line, leading the Blue and White with 23 blocks, while Brandon Carlson has added 21 himself.

About St. Cloud State

BOUNCE BACK: SCSU suffered its first loss of the season on Nov. 8 with a 2-0 loss to visiting Miami.  The Huskies' losing skid was short-lived as they bounced back to gain a 2-1 win over the RedHawks in the second game of the series on Nov. 9 The Huskies now own a 6-1-1, 3-1-0 NCHC record in 2013-14.  SCSU is a perfect 4-0-0 on the road this season.

FIRST TIME IN ST. CLOUD: The Huskies' victory over Miami on Nov. 9 marked the first time that SCSU has charted a home win over Miami in the series that dates back to 1987-88.  Miami owns a 9-4-2 series lead but the Huskies own a 3-1-1 record in the last five games of the series... SCSU's 2-0 loss to Miami marked the first time since a 3-0 loss at home against North Dakota on Nov. 9, 2012 that the Huskies have suffered a shutout.

AN ALABAMA HOMECOMING:  The Huskies' upcoming series at non-conference rival Alabama Huntsville will be a homecoming of sorts for senior captain Nic Dowd since he is a resident of Huntsville, Ala.  Dowd has scored 34 goals and 54 assists during his career at SCSU, which is the most points posted by a player from Alabama in the long history of the SCSU men's hockey program.

THE LAST TIME:  The last time SCSU had a higher poll position than #3 in the DI national polls was a #2 ranking in the USCHO.com poll on Feb. 28, 2007.  SCSU also hit #4 in the poll from Feb. 1 through March 1, 2010 and back in 2001-02, the Huskies held the number one spot in the poll for several weeks before falling back to #2 on Feb. 25, 2002.

HUSKY NEWS AND NOTES:  SCSU has allowed just three power play goals this season in eight games played...the Huskies have only been outshot by their opponents in a game once in 2013-14.   SCSU has outshot its opponents 275-210 in 2013-14...SCSU is 3-1-0 in games played against nationally ranked teams this season.

Series History

It has been a series dominated by St. Cloud State, as the Huskies own a perfect 9-0-0 record against the Chargers all-time.

The teams met for the very first time way back in 1988, when the Huskies won a convincing game by a final of 9-2. The most recent meeting between the two programs happened just last season. In those two games in Minnesota, St. Cloud earned a pair of easy victories, 6-1 and 4-0.
