Chargers Drop 3-0 Decision to Bowling Green

Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – After battling early and often, the University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team fell 3-0 to Bowling Green on Friday night in WCHA play at the BGSU Ice Arena.
 
UAH (0-15-0, 0-9-0 WCHA) fell behind first at the 18:12 mark in the first period, after exchanging shots early in the period against the Falcons (7-7-3, 5-5-1 WCHA).
 
Bowling Green took a 2-0 advantage at the 19:32 mark of the second period and would later add their third goal at 5:13 of the third period. UAH would play even the remainder of the way and fall by three goals in the contest.
 
The Chargers had good looks on goal throughout the night but could not find the net as Tommy Burke recorded his first shutout of the season. UAH finished 0-for-4 on the power play.
 
Matt Larose (0-8-0) showed the tough-save ability as he has all season long, but the UAH offense was once again stymied in the shutout. Larose finished with 40 saves in the game, his second highest total of the season.
 
The Falcons held a 43-18 advantage on shots on the night.
 
The two teams will do battle again tomorrow night back at the BGSU Ice Arena for a 6:07 p.m. central time puck drop.
