Box Score VALDOSTA, Ga. – The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team continued Gulf South Conference play on Sunday, falling to No. 25 Valdosta State by a 3-0 score on the road. The Lady Chargers slip to 0-2-2 (0-2-0 GSC) on the season with the setback, while VSU improves to 3-0-1 (1-0-1 GSC).
All three goals would come in the opening 45 minutes, and the hosts set the tone for the contest early when Blakely McClellan scored just over a minute into the contest. The Lady Blazers then pushed the lead out to two in the 14th minute when McClellan assisted on Margaret Stauffer's strike.
Just over five minutes until the halftime break, VSU would give itself a commanding lead in the contest when Nicole Polk scored to make it a 3-0 game and ultimately round out the scoring in the affair.

Iris Gunnarsdottir made five saves on the afternoon. The Lady Blazers also registered a strong edge in corners, taking eight to UAH's one.
Just 14 fouls were called in the contest, and no cards were issued.
UAH will now return home to wrap up the current stretch of three games in six days as the Lady Chargers will welcome Montevallo to Charger Park at 7 p.m. on Tuesday night.
