About the Lady Chargers

CAREER SAVES WATCH: Senior goalkeeper Iris Gunnarsdottir has amassed 266 saves in her three-year career at UAH, including 33 saves this season. The Reykjavik, Iceland, native is just nine saves away from setting the program record in individual career saves by a goalkeeper which was previously set by Laura Jackson with 274 from  1997-99.
 
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: Wednesday's matchup with Shorter will be the fifth road game out of seven for UAH. The Lady Chargers fell to North Alabama in Florence on Sunday by a 2-0 score. Freshman Melody Dodd came off the bench to lead the team with two shots on goal in the setback.

About the Opponent

ABOUT SHORTER: The Hawks are currently 2-4 on the season, defeating Converse and picking up a convincing 4-1 victory over St. Andrews in its most recent contest. Wednesday's matchup will be the conference home-opener for Shorter.
 
THE DUO: Shorter teammates Helena Farinha and Kelli Davis have accounted for five of the team's eight goals this season. Farinha's team-leading three goals currently ranks fifth in the GSC, while her eight points is fourth-best in the conference.

Series History

The matchup on Wednesday will be the fourth installment between the two conference foes. UAH won the first contest in 2009 by a 2-1 score before Shorter was able to win the next two meetings including a 2-0 decision in Huntsville a season ago.
