WEEKEND RECAP
UAH fell in both contests over the weekend on the road against No. 15 Notre Dame. The Chargers fell 5-0 on Saturday following a 7-1 defeat on Friday. Saturday's defeat was the first time the team had not scored on a Saturday since a 1-0 loss at the hands of Western Michigan on Nov. 30.
SALHANY FOR HIS THIRD
Freshman
Matt Salhany tallied his third goal of the season on Friday in the third period off a pass from
Graeme Strukoff. Salhany currently leads the team in goals (3) and assists (5), totaling a team-high eight points.
CHARGERS ON NBC
Friday's matchup with the Fighting Irish was televised on NBC Sports Network, marking the first time in program history that the Chargers have played on national television for a regular season game.
STRUKOFF STEPPING UP
Junior
Graeme Strukoff recorded his second assist of the season on Friday when he fed the puck to Salhany for the team's lone goal in the third period. Strukoff has now recorded two points in the past five games following the first 16 games where he was unable to record a point.
LAROSE WITH CONSISTENCY
Freshman goaltender
Matt Larose finished with 30 saves at the end of Friday night. In 12 starts this season, Larose has notched at least 30 saves in nine of those starts, including a streak of five games where he reached at least 35 saves.
CHARGERS' SCORING OUTPUT
After Salhany's goal on Friday night, the Chargers have scored 10 of their 23 goals in the third period while scoring the other 13 goals in the first period (5), second period (7) and OT (1).
NON CONFERENCE FINALE
Notre Dame was the last non-conference opponent for the Chargers this season. UAH finished with a record of 0-10-0 in non-conference play as the combined record of the Chargers' non-conference opponents is 59-31-10.
BACK AT THE VON BRAUN CENTER
The Chargers return to the Von Braun Center this weekend when they face off against Alaska Anchorage. Earlier this season, the Seawolves handed the Chargers a 3-1 loss on Friday night and a 6-1 defeat the following night on Saturday.
MILITARY APPRECIATION WEEKEND
UAH will continue their promotions this weekend when all veterans and kids get in free for Military Appreciation weekend while the first 500 kids will receive camouflage jerseys on Saturday.

SEAWOLF BITES: The Seawolves face the UAH Chargers following a sweep of Minnesota State (Jan. 10-11) in Anchorage, 2-1, 3-1.The sweep was UAA's first against MSU at home since Jan. 15-16, 1993 (4-2, 5-4). UAA is now 9-2-1 at home – the Seawolves' best home record after 12 games since joining Div. I and the best since 1983-84 when UAA went 12-0-0 at home to start the season.The Seawolves (11-9-2) are off to their best start since 1998-99 when they posted an identical 11-9-2 record after 22 games. Over the weekend, the Mavericks outshot the Seawolves, 28-10 and 36-16. The 10 shots on goal on Friday was a season-low, while UAA allowed a season-high 36 shots on net on Saturday.
Series History
UAH and UAA met for the Seawolves' WCHA home opener, Nov. 8-9, with the Seawolves sweeping the Chargers, 3-1 and 6-1.The Seawolves lead the all-time series record between the teams 17-2-0.Prior to this season, the last meeting between the teams was in 1992-93 (UAA's WCHA affiliate year) when they faced each other March 5-6 with UAA sweeping, 4-2, 10-1. The teams also met earlier that season on Nov. 6-7 at UAH – the Chargers won on Friday, 8-4, before UAA won on Saturday, 6-4.The first meeting between the teams was Dec. 7, 1987, UAA won 4-3,of the 19 all-time meetings, 13 of them have been in Anchorage.
