Shayla McWhorter who played three seasons before serving as a manager this year. During the group's stint in Huntsville, the Chargers recorded the program's first-ever wins at the GSC Championships, reaching the semifinals in back-to-back years in 2012 and 2013.
AMONG THE BEST: Jannah will go down as one of the top offensive players in UAH women's soccer history as she ranks second with 30 career goals, and the two-time All-Gulf South Conference performer's 72 career points is the third-most in program history.
ABOUT CARSON-NEWMAN: The Eagles visit Huntsville with a 3-12 mark, and the team is winless at 0-8 on the road. The team has scored 13 goals on the season, and five different players have two goals each including Mikayla Gregg and Helen Seed who have both added an assist to lead the team with five points.
SERIES HISTORY: The all-time series between the two programs is even at 1-1-1 with the last meeting coming a season ago in the season opener for the Chargers.
Melody Dodd scored in the fifth minute of that contest – her collegiate debut – but the Eagles would earn the equalizer in the 52nd minute as Gregg scored, creating what ended up being a 1-1 draw.
