Box Score LIVINGSTON, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team travelled to West Alabama on Sunday afternoon, falling 2-0 to the hosts at Tiger Stadium. UAH slips to 1-5 (0-2 Gulf South Conference) with the setback, while UWA improves to 4-1 (1-0 GSC).

Lydia Sutcliffe scored the game's first tally, striking in the 11th minute to put the hosts on top early, and though the Chargers would nearly tie the game in the 21st when
Sydnie Fiocca's attempt clanked off the post, the score would remain 1-0 at the half.

West Alabama then dominated the second half, taking 10 shots to UAH's one while also earning six corners, and UWA's leading scorer Nicki Gears iced the contest with her fourth of the season in the 90th minute.

Freshman keeper
Larae Breaux did her part to keep the visiting side in the contest as she faced 25 shots and turned aside 11 of the 14 that were on goal.

UAH had four shots on the day, coming from Fiocca,
Isabel Shanteau,
Marie Blunt and
Gillian Harding. Shanteau and Harding both saw their attempts go on frame.

The Chargers will look to bounce back from the loss when the team returns home to face Mississippi College on Friday at Charger Park.
