WEEKLY AWARDS: The Chargers were well represented in the WCHA's weekly honors as Cody Marooney and Max McHugh were named the league's Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The pair joins Brennan Saulnier for conference honors from this season, with Saulnier earning Rookie of the Week earlier in the 2014-15 campaign.

SHINING BRIGHT: Marooney (Eden Prairie, Minn.) was named the NCAA's Second Star of the Week for supplying both game-winning goals in the Chargers sweep of Alaska Anchorage, to go along with earning the top weekly offensive award from the WCHA. The sophomore has six points (3g-3a) this season.

EYES ON UAH: College Hockey News had UAH hockey as the Team of the Week following the first sweep since Jan. 29-30 for the Chargers. The Blue and White's sweep of Alaska Anchorage is also the first back-to-back wins in a conference series for UAH since joining the WCHA last season. CHN listed UAH goalie Carmine Guerriero as a "Player to Watch" for future Hobey Baker Memorial Award consideration.

WCHA'S LEADING ROOKIE: McHugh (Seattle, Wash.) continued his successful rookie campaign with three offensive points this past weekend, which included the first two-goal performance of his career in the 3-2 opening win. Guerriero made a weekend-best 31 saves in the series opener and was crucial in the tightly contested third period the finale, as he made a game-high 16 saves in the final 20 minutes. This season, the sophomore sits at ninth in the nation and third in the WCHA with a .934 save percentage. He holds the seventh-best GAA in the conference at 2.31.

DEFENSIVE ANCHOR: Brandon Carlson (Huntington Beach, Calif.) leads the country with 58 blocks in the 2014-15 campaign, after getting in front of eight shots over the weekend. While anchoring the Chargers defensive core, the sophomore scored his fourth goal of the season on a redirect in Saturday's 2-1 win. This season, Carlson is third on the defense with seven points (4g-3a).
