REMEMBERING CHAMPIONS: The UAH hockey program will be honoring the 1995-96 NCAA Division II Championship team this weekend with a special celebration on Saturday night, which includes a giveaway of 500 replica 1995-96 kids' jerseys and an on-ice reunion during the first intermission. Friday night's promo will be the second installment of the 2015-16 trading cards.
KIDS IN FREE: Children ages 12 and under receive free admission to all UAH hockey home games for the 2015-16 season, courtesy of Huntsville International Airport. Fans can purchase hockey tickets by visiting the VBC Box Office or by calling (256) UAH-PUCK to purchase group tickets. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.

EXHIBITION IN HUNTSVILLE: UAH was away from NCAA competition this past weekend as the squad took on the University of Alabama's club team at the Wilcoxon IcePlex, where the Chargers won convincingly 11-1. Brent Fletcher and Cody Marooney led the offense with two goals apiece in the contest.

OPENING SPLIT: The Chargers are 1-1 to start the season for the first time since the 2010-11 campaign, which is also the fourth time in the past 10 seasons UAH has started with a 1-1 record.

LEADING THE WAY: Sophomore Brennan Saulnier started off the season with his first career WCHA Player of the Week honor, after totaling five points from three goals and two assists in the two-game series against UConn. Saulnier is averaging 2.50 points per game, which ranks second in the nation and first in the WCHA.
TOP OF THE LINE: In the 5-2 win over UConn on Oct. 10, the Chargers top line of Max McHugh, Chad Brears and Saulnier combined for four goals and five assists for nine points, which is the highest mark for one Charger line since Feb. 25, 2006 when Bruce Mulherin, Brett McConnachie and Chris Martini totaled five goals and four assists.

OFFENSIVE OUTPUT: The UAH offense is tied for third in the WCHA and 22nd in the NCAA with a team average of 8.50 points per game, led by Saulnier (3-2—5). The WCHA's top player of opening weekend is followed by Brears (1-3—4), McHugh (2-1—3), and Frank Misuraca (0-2—2) on the UAH roster.

SEAWOLVES PROFILE: Alaska Anchorage enters the weekend with a 3-1-0 overall record this season following wins over RPI and American International this past weekend at the Brice Alaska Goal Rush held in Fairbanks. The Seawolves offense is led by a trio of five-point scorers in Matt Anholt (1-4—5), Jeremiah Luedtke (0-5—5), and Blake Tatchell (2-3—5).

MATCHUP HISTORY: UAH is 4-18-1 all-time against Alaska Anchorage, winning the previous two contests in a series sweep on Jan. 2-3 last season at the VBC by scores of 3-2 and 2-1.  The two programs first matched in 1987-88 campaign, with UAA taking the contest 5-3.
