Valdosta (3-9-2, 2-6-1 GSC) at UAH
Sunday, Oct. 25 | 1 p.m. | Stats

RECAPPING LAST WEEKEND: A week ago, UAH dropped a 4-0 decision to visiting West Florida on Friday, but the Chargers would bounce back with a strong 3-0 win over Spring Hill at Charger Park on Sunday. Alexcia Alexander, Sydnie Fiocca, and Maddie Maurice all scored for the Chargers while Larae Breaux posted a shutout and made six stops in goal.

STANDINGS UPDATE:
The Chargers enter their final weekend of conference play sitting in eighth place in the GSC standings with 10 points, but the team is just three points out of a tie for sixth place where Christian Brothers and Union are tied with 13 points. The top six teams at the end of the regular season will earn berths to the GSC tournament.

SUPER SENIORS: Sunday's contest will mark the final home contest for UAH's five seniors: Sydnie Fiocca, Niina Jetsu, Summer Mooney, Isabel Shanteau, and Jillian Young. During the group's time in Huntsville, the Chargers have advanced twice to the semifinals of the GSC tournament and just narrowly missed out on earning a trip to the NCAA tournament during the group's freshman season. Fiocca has been a three-time all-GSC selection and a two-time all-region honoree, while Young has an all-conference honor to go along with a CoSIDA Academic All-District Team selection.

ABOUT WEST GEORGIA: UWG hosts the Chargers on Friday owning a 7-6-1 record overall with a 5-3-1 mark in GSC action, and the team is on a two-game win streak after posting victories over Union and Valdosta State. At the top of the offensive ledger for the Wolves is Courtney Emmert who has four goals and four assists, and goalkeeper Katie Miklausich features a 0.95 goals against average.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 3-5-2 all-time against the Wolves, and it was West Georgia who won last year's meeting by a 2-1 score in Huntsville. Isabel Shanteau scored the lone goal for the Chargers in the setback.

ABOUT VALDOSTA STATE: The Blazers will travel to the Rocket City with a 3-9-2 overall mark and a 2-6-1 in conference play, and the team is winless in its last five games. Madison Cutts is leading the team offensively with three goals and an assist for a team-best seven points, and McCall Gardner has played every minute in goal, owning a 1.59 goals against average and a .770 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers own a 1-4-0 mark against the Blazers with the win coming in the 2013 GSC tournament. Last year in Valdosta, VSU was a 2-1 winner as Alexcia Alexander scored for the Blue and White.
