HOME OPENER: The Chargers will start the 2015-16 campaign at home, welcoming Southern Indiana for a 2 p.m. tilt at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH has won three of its last four season openers along with three of the past four contests that opened up the home slate.
 
DOUBLE VISION: This year's squad features the senior leadership of four players in the form of two sets of twins in Halle and Sara Jarnagin and Dina and Josi Saunders. Halle Jarnagin and Dina Saunders led the team in scoring last year, averaging 11.1 and 10.2 points per game, respectively.
 
BUILDING ON EXPERIENCE: UAH returns three starters – Halle Jarnagin, Dina Saunders, and Josi Saunders – from last year's team while also bringing back six other letterwinners who each were significant contributors at one point or another a season ago. Included among those is Chandler Elder who will run the point for the Chargers in the new campaign.
 
NEW FACES: Lemmond has brought in four freshmen to this year's team in Allie Bolton, Baylee Johnson, Heidi Miller and Morgan Tipton. Bolton and Johnson were picked as top newcomers to the Gulf South Conference in the league's annual preseason release.
 
ABOUT SOUTHERN INDIANA: The Screaming Eagles finished last season 25-7 (15-3 Great Lakes Valley Conference) last year, and the team has been picked to finish third in the GLVC East Division this season as it looks to replace 65.9 percent of its scoring from 2014-15. Among returnees, Tanner Marcum leads the way after she scored 11.3 points per game during her sophomore season.
 
SERIES HISTORY: Saturday's contest will mark just the third-ever against Southern Indiana as USI holds a 2-0 advantage in the all-time series, and the last meeting between the two programs came on Jan. 2, 2006.
