RECENT ACTION: UAH played its final WCHA series of the 2015 calendar year against No. 20 Minnesota State in Mankato, falling 2-1 on Friday and 4-1 on Saturday at Verizon Wireless Center. The Chargers are now 3-11-2 overall and 2-10-2 in the WCHA to rate 10th in the conference with six league points.

SENIOR SCORING:
Chad Brears notched his sixth goal of the season on Friday night to give the senior alternate captain 12 points on the year from an additional six assists. Brears has totaled at least one point in five of the past six games, including goals in four of his past six appearances.

POINTS LEADER:
Max McHugh leads the Blue in White with 15 points from four goals and a team-best 11 assists, tied for 31st in the nation and tied for third in the WCHA in helpers. McHugh has tallied at least one point in seven of the Chargers eight series this season.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Third-year head coach
Mike Corbett put
Carmine Guerriero as the starter in goal both nights this past weekend, and the junior went on to post 67 saves and five goals allowed during the two-game set. Over his last three starts, Guerriero is averaging 34.4 saves per game and a .945 save percentage.

DOWN A MAN: The Chargers penalty kill unit successfully quelled 10 power-play opportunities for the Mavericks over the weekend to give the squad 23 consecutive penalties killed off dating back to the Nov. 21 game at Bowling Green. UAH is third in the WCHA with a success rate of 84.4 percent (54-for-64) on penalty kills.

FIRST TIME VISITOR: Colorado College (3-15-0, 2-8-0 NCHC) visits the Rocket City for the first time in program history on Friday and Saturday night at the Von Braun Center. The Tigers are fresh off a series sweep at the hands of Western Michigan by scores of 7-3 and 5-3 over the weekend. Trey Bradley leads the offense for CC with 11 points from a team-best seven goals and four assists, while Jacob Nehama and Tyler Marble have split time in goal for a combined 3.94 goals against average and .884 save percentage.

MATCHUP HISTORY: The Chargers are 0-7-0 all-time against the Tigers, after opening the 2014-15 season at Colorado College on Oct. 10-11 with UAH dropping both matchups by scores of 3-2 and 4-3.

LOOKING AHEAD: UAH will continue non-conference play following the holiday break as the squad travels to Grand Forks, North Dakota to take on North Dakota on Jan. 1-2. This will be the Chargers second trip all-time to UND, and the first since Oct. 13-14, 1989.
