RECENT ACTION: UAH dipped to 3-8-1 overall and 2-7-1 in WCHA play with a pair of 4-1 losses this past week at home to Bemidji State on Wednesday and Friday. The Chargers have slipped to 10th in the conference standings with five league points.

HELPING HAND: Sophomore
Max McHugh chipped in his team-leading eighth assist of the season on
Chad Brears' goal on Friday night against BSU, giving the Seattle native 11 points with an addition of three goals. McHugh has contributed at least one point in five of the Chargers six series so far.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Third-year head coach
Mike Corbett went with the tandem of
Matt Larose and
Carmine Guerriero against Bemidji State, with Larose taking the net on Wednesday and Guerriero going in goal on Friday. The duo combined for 42 saves and six goals allowed. This season, Larose ranks sixth in the WCHA with a .918 save percentage, while Guerriero's .891 save percentage rates 12th.

KEEPING PACE: The Chargers rank second in the WCHA and are tied for 28th nationally with 2.67 goals per game, led by sophomore
Brennan Saulnier with a team-best six markers – good for seventh in the league – on the season. Following Saulnier is senior
Chad Brears with four goals (4-5—9) after last Friday's tally.

VERSATILITY: Junior
Brandon Carlson has registered three goals in his last five appearances, playing as a forward on the UAH fourth line in each of those contests. Carlson has also excelled on the defensive end with a team-high 20 blocks in 2015-16, which rates tied for 17th in the NCAA.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS: Most recently, the Wildcats (4-5-5, 3-4-3 WCHA) – who are led by head coach Walt Kyle – suffered a pair of one-goal losses at nationally-ranked Bowling Green this past weekend. Offensively, Darren Nowick paces NMU with eight points from four goals and four assists, while Atte Tolvanen has logged 13 starts in net with a .930 save percentage and a 2.25 goals against average.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers hold a 2-8-2 all-time series record against the Wildcats and a 2-3-1 mark when playing in Huntsville. UAH swept NMU at home in the previous series matchup, winning by scores of 2-1 and 3-2 on Jan. 16-17 last season.
