Live VideoCLOSING OUT THE HOME SLATE: After a pair of road games last week, the Chargers (11-14, 8-11 GSC) will close out action at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall for the 2014-15 season when Christian Brothers and Union visit. Thursday night's game against CBU is slated for a 5:30 start, while the contest with Union will start at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

STANDINGS UPDATE: With two weeks left in conference play, the Chargers remain in the hunt for a berth in the GSC Women's Basketball Championships as the team sits in a tie for sixth with Valdosta State among teams that are eligible for the postseason. UNA is two games ahead in fifth at 10-9, while Shorter and West Alabama are tied for the final spot in eighth.

SUPER SENIORS: Saturday's contest will mark the final home game for UAH's four seniors –
Alysse Bishop,
Juanice Newton,
Jasmyne Reeves, and
Shannon Steinert. During their time in Huntsville, the Chargers won the GSC tournament title in 2013, and the squad advanced to two NCAA tournaments.

BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE:
Halle Jarnagin continues to shoot free throws at a high rate, ranking fourth in the GSC with a free throw shooting mark of 80.0 percent. The junior has been perfect at the line in seven games this season including this past Saturday at Mississippi College when she was 7-for-7.

ABOUT THE LADY BUCS: Christian Brothers is 7-18 (5-14 GSC), coming to Huntsville on a three-game slide while owning a 4-10 mark away from Memphis. All-GSC performer Breanna Ridgell sits on top of the offensive ledger for the Lady Bucs, scoring 17.2 points per game as the team's only double-figure scorer. Taylor Pugh has been strong on the glass, recording 6.9 rebounds per contest.

LAST TIME AGAINST CBU: Despite turning the ball over 30 times and seeing a 15-point advantage slip away, the Chargers held on for a road in Memphis by a 51-48 score on Jan. 12. Freshman
Chandler Elder led UAH in the winning effort, scoring 14 points, while Maddison Luckett led Christian Brothers with 12 points.

ABOUT THE LADY BULLDOGS: Winners of five straight, Union enters play this week with a 20-3 (16-3 GSC) mark while also boasting a strong 7-3 record on the road. A four-time GSC Player of the Week, Amy Philamlee paces Union with 22.7 points per contest, while both Deanna Thompson (14.7 ppg, 9.6 rpg) and Kelsey Risner (12.7 ppg, 9.0 rpg) are nearly averaging a double-double on the season.

LAST TIME AGAINST UU: Four Chargers – led by
Halle Jarnagin's 13 – scored in double figures, but Union was too much for UAH, winning 76-60 in Jackson on Jan. 10. Jarnagin had a double-double as she also recorded 10 boards in the contest, and Union was paced in the game by Philamlee who scored 22 with 15 of those points coming at the charity stripe.
