BEGINNING A NEW YEAR: The Chargers will begin the 2015 campaign on the road at Carson-Newman in Jefferson City, Tennessee, after defeating the Eagles in overtime by a score of 4-3 at Charger Park to end the 2014 season. Conversely on Monday, UAH will look to avenge last season's 4-2 loss at Belmont Abbey in the 2014 campaign opener.

LOOKING BACK: Head coach
Jimmy Mitchell – who is in his third year at the helm of UAH women's soccer – guided the squad to a 6-10 overall record and 4-7 mark within league games last year.
The Chargers finished just short of a GSC Tournament berth, despite leading the conference with 44 goals scored.

MATCHUP HISTORIES: UAH owns a 1-1-1 all-time record over Carson-Newman, while holding an all-time mark of 0-1-0 against Belmont Abbey.

Alexcia Alexander headlines the returnees for the 2015 season, following her freshman campaign in which she earned GSC Freshman of the Year and was a Daktronics All-South Region performer. Senior
Sydnie Fiocca was honored as an All-GSC selection for the third consecutive season in 2014.

NEW TO CHARGER BLUE: Freshmen
Mia Jetsu and
Hannah Oglesby were honored as top newcomers to the GSC from the Chargers in the conference's preseason release, with Jetsu joining UAH from nearby Grissom High School and Oglesby coming from Alabaster, Alabama. A total of six incoming freshman were added to the roster for the 2015 campaign.

LOOKING AHEAD: The match against Belmont Abbey on Monday opens a four-match homestand at Charger Park for UAH, as the team will play Montevallo (Sept. 9) and Newberry (Sept. 12) in the coming week. The Chargers cap off the early homestand with a match against Oakwood on Sept. 14.
