HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville cross country teams hosted the UAH Invitational on Saturday morning at Sharon Johnston Park, with the men's squad coming away with the top spot while the women placed fourth as a team.

The UAH men – who had five runners in the top 30 – were paced by sophomore
Brydon Groves-Scott with a second-place standing in the field of 121 runners, as he registered a time of 25:48.19.

After Groves-Scott's stellar performance,
Benjamin Knox would trail in sixth place at 26:06.03, with
Alex Gilliland earning 14th at 26:30.34 and
Anthony Wells placing 15th at 26:30.34.
Tripp Maloy rounded out the Chargers in the top 30 in 28th place with a time of 27:18.01.

On the women's side, freshman
Marlee Mason led the way with a seventh-place time of 19:21.80, and was followed by
Angel Sillivant in 12th at 19:34.63,
Stacy Solomon in 26th at 19:58.16,
Auburn Cohan in 27th at 20:01.94 and
Lauren Allred in 28th at 20:01.97 to round out UAH in the top 30.
