MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS
HUNTSVILLE | The Gulf South Conference Cross Country Championships were held on Saturday morning at Sharon Johnston Park, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's team came away in second as a team while the women's squad finished fourth overall.

The UAH men were led by freshman
Benjamin Knox with a time of 25:40.02 in eighth place, and was followed by sophomore
Brydon Groves-Scott in ninth at 25:41.15. Both runners earned First Team All-GSC for their performances.

The Chargers also received a pair of Second Team All-GSC performances as
Anthony Wells placed 15th at 26:05.12 and
Alex Gilliland finished 18th at 26:14.00.

Also competing for UAH at the GSC Championships included
Corey Lewenkamp (27th, 26:38.94),
Tripp Maloy (45th, 27:15.74),
Thomas Grace (27:23.63),
Carson Tullo (27:26.57) and
Will Parsons (28:01.11).

On the women's side,
Angel Sillivant led the way for the Blue & White with a sixth-place finish with a time of 19:00.31, followed by
Marlee Mason in eighth place at 19:01.99. Both Chargers were named to the First Team All-GSC, with Mason garnering GSC Freshman of the Year as the highest-finishing freshman at the competition.

The UAH women also had top 50 times registered by
Stacy Solomon (28th, 19:35.40),
Allison Ammons (35th, 19:48.62),
Auburn Cohan (19:54.21) and
Lauren Allred (41st, 20:01.55).

Also competing for the Charger women included
Vanessa Cardwell (50th, 20:27.52),
Trina Badger (51st, 20:28.92), and
Amy Dunham (71st, 21:21.73).

Union's women's team finished the 5k competition as the GSC Champions, while Lee's men's squad came away with the top spot at the GSC Championships in the 8k race.

UAH men's and women's cross country looks ahead to the NCAA South Regional on Nov. 5 in St. Leo, Florida.
