PROMOS: This weekend will serve as Military Appreciation Weekend sponsored by AUSA, and all veterans and active military personnel will receive free admission to both nights this weekend. UAH will be giving away camo rally towels, courtesy of UAH Research & Economic Development,  for the first 500 fans in attendance to Friday night's contest, while the featured promotion on Saturday night will be second trading card set for the 2016-17 campaign.

KIDS IN FREE: Children ages 12 and under receive free admission to all UAH hockey home games for the 2016-17 season, courtesy of Huntsville International Airport. Fans can purchase hockey tickets by visiting the VBC Box Office or by calling (256) UAH-PUCK to purchase group tickets. Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.

RECENT ACTION: UAH (4-7-1, 4-3-1 WCHA) moved into third place in the WCHA standings with 13 league points so far in 2016-17, following the squad's second road series sweep of the season at Alaska Anchorage by scores of 5-2 and 3-2 (OT) this past weekend. This is the Chargers best record through eight WCHA contests in program history.
 
TREK FOR TWO: The Chargers bolstered their standing within the league with their second series sweep of the season on the road, which is the first time in program history UAH has a pair of road sweeps since the 2004-05 season. This past weekend, UAH also recorded its first-ever series sweep at UAA after recording the program's first win at Anchorage in the 2015-16 season.
 
POTENT SCORING: UAH recorded a season-high eight goals in the series sweep of Alaska  Anchorage, with the previous best of seven goals in a series came in the season-opening wins at Ferris State. Three Chargers had three-point weekends in Kurt Gosselin (2g-1a) and Hans Gorowsky (2g-1a), and Max McHugh (0g-3a) to lead the Blue & White against the Seawolves.
 
SCORING LEADERS: There's now a two-way tie atop the UAH offense – along with being tied for 10th in the WCHA – at nine points between linesmates Josh Kestner (3g-6a) and McHugh (5g-4a), with Kestner owning the team-high in assists and McHugh leading the team in goals scored. The duo has combined for 18 of the Chargers 66 points on offense with eight goals and 10 assists.
 
RISING FRESHMAN: Freshman Jordan Larson continues to impress early into his collegiate career, adding two assists during the series sweep at UAA to give him a total of seven points from two goals and five assists in 2016-17. Larson ranks third overall on the UAH roster in points, while rating fourth amongst WCHA rookies.
 
ON THE BLOCK: The Chargers remain atop the national leaderboard with 177 blocks through 12 games this season, as Cam Knight continues to lead the NCAA with 29 blocks followed by senior Brandon Carlson in second nationally with 27 blocks.
 
NANOOKS PROFILE: Alaska Fairbanks begins the weekend with a 3-7-0 overall record and a 2-4-0 mark in WCHA contests, following a pair of losses at home to No. 15 Bemidji State this past weekend by scores of 6-2 and 3-1. The Nanooks offense is led by a pair of players with seven points in Marcus Basara (3g-4a) and Brandon Morley (0g-7a), while Jesse Jenks and Davis Jones have combined for a 3.67 goals against average and a .873 save percentage through 10 games.
 
MATCHUP HISTORY: The Chargers are 7-19-1 all-time against the Nanooks and 4-7-1 when playing at home, after the two teams most recently split a series in Huntsville on Jan. 8-9 last season.
