ÂRECENT ACTION: UAH started its three-series homestand this past weekend with a visit from Alaska Fairbanks on Friday and Saturday night, with the two squads skating to a 3-3 tie on Friday before UAF edged UAH 3-1 in the finale. The Chargers are now in fourth place with 14 league points, owning a 4-8-2 overall record and a 4-4-2 mark in WCHA contests.

UPCOMING WEEKEND: The Chargers host their closest geographical opponent this coming weekend as Bowling Green travels to the Rocket City for a two-game set this Friday and Saturday night with puck drop slated for 7:07 p.m. both nights. UAH is 4-17-1 all-time against BGSU, while holding a 3-7-0 record in Huntsville against the Falcons.

HOMETOWN LEADER: Josh Kestner is now atop the UAH roster with 10 points this season with three goals and a team-high seven assists, which has the Huntsville native tied for sixth in the WCHA in points and tied for seventh in assists.

DEFENSIVE PRODUCTION: Kurt Gosselin has registered at least one point in each of the past four contests with a total of two goals and three assists in games against Alaska Anchorage and Alaska Fairbanks, giving the sophomore defenseman a total of eight points on three goals and five assists this season. Gosselin leads all UAH defenseman with points on offense and tied for fourth amongst WCHA defenseman.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Fourth-year head coach
Mike Corbett went with the tandem of
Jordan Uhelski and
Carmine Guerriero between the pipes this past weekend, with Guerriero recording his first start of the season in Saturday's finale. The duo combined for 44 saves and five goals allowed in the weekend series, which brings the team's save percentage to .883 and goals against average to 3.72.

BLOCK OUT: The Chargers dropped to second in the nation with 198 blocks in the 2016-17 campaign, with
Cam Knight and
Brandon Parker in a two-way tie for fifth in the NCAA with 30 blocks apiece. Fellow defenseman
Brandon Carlson follows in a tie for seventh with 29 blocks.

FALCONS PROFILE: Bowling Green – the squad picked to win the WCHA in the preseason polls – enters the weekend in seventh place in the league standings with a 3-3-0 record within the WCHA, while holding a 4-7-1 record overall. The Falcons offense is paced by Mitchell McClain (4-7—11) and Matt Pohlkamp (6-4—10), while Chris Nell has played the majority of time in goal for a 2.71 goals against average and a .880 save percentage.
