RIVALRY RENEWED: The UAH women's basketball team will make the short trek to Florence on Sunday, opening up Gulf South Conference action at rival North Alabama, and tip-off at Flowers Hall is slated for 2 p.m. UAH enters the contest at 0-4. The game can be heard on 97.7 The Zone in the Tennessee Valley with Steve Moulton on the call.

GSC OPENER: The Chargers will be opening up conference play this weekend after having been picked to finish sixth in the league by in the preseason poll of coaches. Last season, UAH was 12-10 in conference play en route to a sixth-place finish and an appearance in the GSC tournament. Sunday's opponent UNA was picked to finish 11th.

LAST TIME OUT: UAH hosted Trevecca Nazarene in the home opener this past Tuesday, falling 69-58 to the guests. In the setback,
Baylee Johnson hit four 3-pointers en route to totaling 20 on the night.

NO SOPHOMORE SLUMP: After her strong freshman campaign, Johnson has continued to excel here early on during her sophomore season. She has scored in double figures in three of the team's four games including leading UAH in scoring in two contests, and the Cullman, Alabama, native has been especially strong at the free throw line where she is shooting 91.7 percent.

ON THE GLASS: In addition to having its fifth different player lead the team in rebounding in a game when
Chandler Elder grabbed eight boards in the setback to TNU, the team features four players who are averaging at least four rebounds per contest. Freshman
Aryn Sanders leads UAH in rebounding with 5.3 a game.

ABOUT NORTH ALABAMA: The Lions are a perfect 6-0 on the season, and that marks includes a 4-0 record in Florence. UNA is outscoring its opposition by a wide 80.8 to 51.8 points per game margin, and the team is paced offensively by Ivy Wallen who is scoring 20.5 points per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: North Alabama leads the all-time series 54-23, but the Chargers swept the season series last season. At UNA, UAH was a 63-55 winner, and Elder was one of three Chargers to score in double figures as she had 10 in the victory.
