MEN'S RESULTS | WOMEN'S RESULTS

CEDARVILLE, Ohio | The University of Alabama in Huntsville cross country squads traveled to the Friendship Invitational on Saturday morning, coming away with a second-place finish for the men and a sixth-place standing for the women.
 
On the men's side, the Chargers benefitted from a pair of top-five performances led by Brydon Groves-Scott in fourth place with a time of 26:12.0. Junior Anthony Wells quickly followed Groves-Scott in fifth at a personal-best time of 26:13.6 in the 8k race.
 
Also placing in the top 20 for the UAH men were freshman Benjamin Knox (13th, 26:50.9) and Alex Gilliland (17th, 27:02.6).
 
For the women's team, sophomore Angel Sillivant led the Chargers in 25th place overall on a time of 19:48.3, and she was followed by Marlee Mason in 30th at 19:57.2, Stacy Solomon in 39th at 20:15.9 and Lauren Allred in 50th at 20:31.6 to round out UAH in the top 50 of the field.
 
Other runners for the UAH women's team included Auburn Cohan (20:38.0), Trina Badgers (21:00.5), Alex Porter (21:34.5), Olivia Goldsby (21:35.2), Vanessa Cardwell (21:43.3), Allison Ammons (21:54.8), Amy Dunham (22:02.6) and Kristen Fuller (22:46.2).
 
Also competing for the men's team were Corey Lewenkamp (27:36.4), Anthony Paramenswaran (27:59.3), Carson Tullo (28:05.5), Kramer Crider (28:12.1), Thomas Grace (28:36.8), Tripp Maloy (28:54.5), Nick Klein (29:08.1), Will Parsons (29:20.2), Adam Wallenfelz (29:40.0) and Will Bryant (30:02.3).
 
The Chargers look ahead to hosting the UAH Invitational on Oct. 1 at Sharon Johnston Park.
