HOME AGAIN, GONE AGAIN: The UAH women's basketball team returns to action this week, welcoming Shorter to Kelly Court at Spragins Hall on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. before going back on the road to Lee on Saturday where the tip is slated for 1 p.m. CST. The Chargers enter the weekend at 2-12 (1-8 Gulf South Conference).

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: UAH went on a two-game swing through Mississippi, dropping a 75-65 decision at Mississippi College and falling 64-53 at Delta State.
Caroline Dodd led UAH in the setback at DSU, scoring 13 on the strength of three 3-pointers.

AROUND THE GSC: Things continue to be tightly bunched at the top of the league where West Florida is alone in first with a 7-2 mark, just ahead of North Alabama, Lee, and Valdosta State who are each 6-3. Christian Brothers sits in fifth at 6-4 which is a half-game ahead of Mississippi College and West Georgia who are tied for sixth at 5-4. Delta State and Shorter are tied for the eighth spot with 4-5 records.

DOUBLE TROUBLE: With her 10 points and 12 rebounds in the Delta State game, junior
Chandler Elder now has three double-doubles on the year with each coming in the team's last five games. On the year, Elder leads the team on the glass as she is averaging 6.9 rebounds per contest, and she has at least six rebounds in 11 of the team's 14 games.

ABOUT SHORTER: The Hawks come into the weekend at 5-9 overall and 4-5 in conference play, and the team is 1-7 away from Rome. Taylor Adams leads Shorter as she is averaging a double-double on the year with 20.6 points per game to go along with 10.3 rebounds per contest, and she also has a team-high 38 steals and 22 blocks.

SERIES HISTORY: After winning three times last year including in the conference tournament, Shorter is now 11-9 all-time against the Chargers. In the regular season meeting in Huntsville a year ago, the Hawks were 60-47 winners.

ABOUT LEE: Lee – who travels to North Alabama on Thursday – enters play this week with an 11-4 (6-3 GSC) mark, and the Flames boast a 7-1 home record. Three players score in double figures for the Flames with Erin Walsh pacing the team with 15.7 points per game.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 4-5 in the all-time series with the Flames after Lee took both contests last year. In Cleveland, Lee captured a slim 61-60 victory in a game that saw Elder lead the Chargers with 16 points.
