HUNTSVILLE | The No. 19 University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team secured a 105-88 victory over rival North Alabama on Monday night, picking up the team's fifth straight win while moving back into a tie with Valdosta State atop the conference standings. UAH moves to 16-4 (11-2 Gulf South Conference) with the triumph, while UNA slips to 11-9, 6-8 GSC.

Turning Point
-With the guests trimming the deficit to just three at 87-84 with 3:43 left, Justin Ward hit a 3-pointer that would start a string of four straight hit by the Chargers as part of an 18-2 run that would put the game away for the home team.

-The Chargers won the rebounding battle, grabbing 35 boards to 30 for the visitors.

Inside the Flow
-Webster hit a 3-pointer to start the game, and before the contest was even four minutes old, another Webster would make it an 11-5 lead at the 16:44 mark of the opening half setting a pace that would allow UAH to lead throughout the remainder of the first half.
-After UNA closed the gap to just two at 31-29 with 7:20 left in the half, the Chargers would outscore the guests 20-9 over the final minutes of the period to go up 51-38 at the halftime break.
-The lead would quickly grow to 16 just 31 seconds into the second half, but the Lions then went 12-for-18 including 4-for-5 over the next nearly 11 minutes, outscoring the Chargers 32-16 while completely erasing the UAH lead and tying it at 70-70 with 8:34 left in the game.
-At that point, a triple from Kip Owens started a perfect 5-for-5 stretch over the next three minutes during which UAH outscored the Lions 15-4 en route to building up an 85-74 advantage, and though UNA would respond with an 8-0 spurt to cut it to 85-82 at the 4:16 mark, the Chargers would outscore UNA 20-6 – including a 15-0 run – over the remaining minutes of the game to secure the victory.
