HOMESTAND CONTINUES: The UAH women's soccer team will continue its three-game homestand this weekend, welcoming Christian Brothers at 5 p.m. on Friday evening before turning around to host Union on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Chargers enter the weekend at 5-7-0 (3-6-0 Gulf South Conference).

LAST TIME OUT: The Chargers have strung together a pair of wins for the first time this season, knocking off conference foe Spring Hill 3-1 last Friday before thumping Oakwood 12-0 at Charger Park on Monday night.

AROUND THE GSC: The Chargers are presently sitting on nine conference points which is four points out of the eighth and final spot for a tournament berth. Montevallo currently holds that position with 13 points, while West Alabama is in ninth with 12 points. The Chargers are tied with Union who also have nine points. At the top of the standings, North Alabama leads the league with 27 points.

AN OFFENSIVE SPARK: The Chargers will look to build upon the offensive effort against Oakwood which nearly doubled the team's scoring output on the year to 26 goals, and the team now ranks fourth in the league with 2.2 goals per game. Additionally, the squad is now second in the conference with 2.1 assists per contest.

AMONG THE BEST: Speaking of assists, the Chargers have two of the top in the league individually in that category as well with Sydney Pfankuch and Riley Ridgeway both ranking in a tie for fourth on the conference leaderboard as both have four helpers on the season.

ABOUT THE BUCS: Christian Brothers visits Huntsville at 8-3-1 overall and 6-2-1 in GSC action, and the squad is unbeaten in eight of its last nine contests. Seven different players have scored at least two goals on the season, and Bailey Tadlock paces the team offensively with 16 points from six goals and four assists.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 7-16-2 all-time against Christian Brothers after the team fell 2-0 in Memphis last season. When the two programs met last in Huntsville in 2015 they played to a 1-1 draw.

ABOUT THE BULLDOGS: Union is 3-7-0 (3-6-0 GSC) ahead of its Friday night contest at West Alabama after knocking off Auburn Montgomery to snap a four-match losing streak. Olivia Schmitke, Shelby High, and Victoria Lucido each lead the team with a pair of goals with Schmitke adding two assists for a team-high six points.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH is 9-2-0 all-time against Union after dropping a 1-0 decision in Jackson a year ago, but the Chargers won the most recent meeting in the Rocket City, knocking off the Bulldogs 1-0 on Oct. 4, 2015.
