UPCOMING WEEKEND: The Chargers (1-3-0, 1-1-0 WCHA) continue their four-series road swing to start the 2017-18 campaign this weekend with a trip to Cornell (0-0-0, 0-0-0 ECAC) for a nonconference series on Friday and Saturday at 6 p.m. CT both nights. UAH owns an all-time record of 0-3-1 in games against Cornell, with the two teams tying 2-2 in the most recent meeting on Dec. 4, 2010 in Ithaca, New York.

RECENT ACTION: UAH picked up its first victory of the season and the program's first win over No. 15 Michigan Tech in Saturday's series finale by a score of 4-2, after dropping the WCHA opener on Friday by a score of 5-4 to the Huskies. The Chargers now own a 1-3-0 overall record and a 1-1-0 mark in league play.

WEEKLY ACCOLADE: Junior
Kurt Gosselin was the most productive player from the blue line for the Chargers this past weekend, garnering his third career WCHA Defensive Player of the Week award after posting three points on one goal and two assists in the series split at MTU. Gosselin is now tied for second in WCHA play amongst defensemen with his three points.

HOMETOWN SCORING: Huntsville native
Josh Kestner turned in a three-point weekend with two goals and one assist at Michigan Tech, which gives the senior forward five points on three goals and two assists through four games played. Kestner rates fifth in the league with 1.25 points per game entering the series at Cornell.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Senior
Jordan Uhelski notched an NCAA-best 74 total saves during the series at Michigan Tech, which included 41 saves – second most in a single game for the Chargers netminder – in the first-ever victory over the Huskies on Saturday. This season, Uhelski owns a .907 save percentage and a 3.69 goals against average through three starts.

LEADING JUNIOR:
Tyler Poulsen is in a three-way tie for first in the conference with 1.33 points per game after notching a goal and an assist in the series-opening loss over the weekend. In three games, Poulsen owns three goals and one assist following a 2016-17 season in which he had six points on three goals and three assists.

HELPING HAND:
Cam Knight enters the weekend with a team-best three assists following a pair of helpers in the series opener at Michigan Tech. Knight now has three, two-assist performances in his career.

LOOKING AHEAD: UAH wraps up its four-series road swing next weekend with the program's first-ever trip to Tempe, Arizona, to take on Arizona State on Nov. 3-4. The Chargers will then open its home slate on Nov. 10-11 with a WCHA series against Alaska Anchorage.

BIG RED PROFILE: Cornell is set for its first action of the 2017-18 regular season, following a 21-9-5 overall record last season that also included a 13-4-5 mark in ECAC contests. The Big Red's leading returning scorer from last season is Mitch Vanderlaan who had a team-best 28 points (15g-13a), while Hayden Stewart is the lone returning goalie with 11 career appearances in goal for Cornell.
