PROMO: The first 500 fans in attendance to Friday night's game will receive the second installment of the 2017-18 UAH hockey trading card set, courtesy of Wells Fargo.

KIDS IN FREE: Huntsville International Airport and UAH have again partnered to give children ages 12 and under free general admission to all 14 UAH hockey home games this season. Tickets are available on a first-come-first-serve basis and may be acquired at the VBC box office during pregame on game nights.
 
WEEKEND AHEAD: UAH (3-6-1, 2-1-1 WCHA) continues its three series homestand this upcoming Friday and Saturday night as Lake Superior State (2-7-3, 1-3-2 WCHA) visits the Von Braun Center for a two-game WCHA series. Puck drops at 7:07 p.m. both nights.
 
LAST WEEKEND: The Chargers are now unbeaten in their last three games as the squad picked up a 5-1 win this past Friday before skating to a 3-3 tie in regulation on Saturday against Alaska Anchorage in Huntsville over the weekend. UAH's five goals on Friday were the most in a home-opener for the program since Oct. 12, 2001 in a 6-1 win over Bentley at the VBC.
 
HOMETOWN LEADER: Following two goals and an assist in the series finale against UAA on Saturday, Josh Kestner now leads the UAH offense and ranks tied for 13th in the WCHA with nine points on six goals and three assists. Four of Kestner's six goals have come in WCHA play, and he's ranked tied for first so far in the league schedule with 1.00 goal per game.
 
SENIOR SCORING: Brennan Saulnier paced the UAH offense in the dominating 5-1 win over the Seawolves in the series opener with two goals, which gives him six on the season including four goals in the past four games. In the month of November, Saulnier is tied for second in the WCHA with four goals.
 
HELPING DEFENSEMAN: Kurt Gosselin remained UAH's top scoring blue liner with one assist during the weekend series, giving the junior seven points on two goals and five assists in 2017-18. Gosselin enters the weekend tied for fifth in points (7) amongst WCHA defensemen.
 
BETWEEN THE PIPES: Jordan Uhelski made both starts in goal for the Chargers over the weekend, raising his save percentage above .900 at .901 and lowering his goals against average to a 2.99 mark this season. Uhelski had one of his strongest overall weekends this season against Alaska Anchorage, totaling 47 saves and allowing just four goals.
 
ROOKIE IMPRESSES: Christian Rajic continued to have success in his rookie season with the Blue & White as he notched a goal in the opener followed by an assist on Connor Merkley's buzzer-beater goal in Saturday's finale to force overtime against UAA. Rajic now has six points on three goals and three assists, ranking tied for fifth in points and tied for second amongst WCHA rookies.
 
KEEPING IT POSITIVE: The Chargers have seven players on the positive side in plus-minus so far in the 2017-18 season, led by junior Madison Dunn with a 4 rating on the ice. Through 10 games in 2016-17, UAH had zero players with positive ratings on the ice.
 
LAKERS PROFILE: Lake Superior State enters the weekend with a 2-7-3 overall record and a 1-3-2 record in WCHA play, after most recently tying once and losing once this past weekend in a trip to Bowling Green. The LSSU offense is paced by JT Henke with 15 points on three goals and 12 assists, while Nick Kossoff and Mareks Mitens have split time in goal for a 3.57 goals against average and a .902 save percentage.
 
SERIES HISTORY: UAH holds an all-time series record of 6-10-2 against Lake Superior State, as the programs have matched up 18 times entering the weekend dating back to the 2004-05 season. Since the Chargers joined the WCHA in 2013-14, UAH owns a record of 4-7-2 against LSSU.
