WEEKEND AHEAD: UAH (4-7-1, 3-2-1 WCHA) wraps up its three series homestand this weekend with a visit from Ferris State (5-8-1, 2-3-1 WCHA) for a WCHA series on Friday and Saturday night at the Von Braun Center. The Chargers are currently 2-1-1 in this stretch of six home games in three weeks.

HOT START: Following his first career hat trick and the first by a UAH freshman since Jared Ross on March 9, 2002, Christian Rajic now leads all WCHA rookies with six goals and rates fifth with nine points with the addition of three assists. Rajic has especially stood out in the WCHA schedule, as he's posted eight of his nine points against league opponents and rates tied for third with 1.33 points per game within the WCHA slate.

HELPING HAND: Junior Tyler Poulsen – who posted six points in each of his first two seasons – has already topped his career high in points through 12 games this season as he ranks tied for first on the roster with 10 points on three goals and seven assists. Poulsen has excelled in the last three games, posting five assists including a pair of two-helper performances against Alaska Anchorage (Nov. 11) and Lake Superior State (Nov. 18).

KEEP IT POSITIVE: The Chargers have seven players on the positive side in plus-minus so far in the 2017-18 season, led by junior Madison Dunn with a +7 rating on the ice which ranks tied for second in the WCHA. Last season, UAH had just two players with positive ratings at the end of the campaign.

LEADING SCORER: Brennan Saulnier added a goal and an assist in the 5-3 victory over Lake Superior State on Saturday, giving the senior a tie for the team lead in points with 10 from seven goals and three assists. His seven goals lead the Chargers and rank tied for third in the conference.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Jordan Uhelski has made four straight starts between the pipes for the Chargers and 10 overall in the 2017-18 campaign, and the senior netminder has totaled a .906 save percentage and 2.89 goals against average while boasting a 4-5-1 record in goal. Uhelski has made a total of 279 saves this season which rates fourth amongst WCHA goalies.

LOOKING AHEAD: Following this weekend's home series against Ferris State, UAH starts a road swing that features a total of six series at WCHA opponents beginning Dec. 1-2 at Northern Michigan. The Chargers road trip will also feature stops at Bowling Green (Dec. 8-9), Minnesota State (Dec. 15-16), Bemidji State (Dec. 29-30), Alaska Fairbanks (Jan. 5-6) and Alaska Anchorage (Jan. 12-13).

BULLDOGS PROFILE: Ferris State enters this weekend's matchups with a 5-8-1 overall record and a 2-3-1 record in conference play, after most recently dropping a pair of nonconference games at Michigan State this past Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs offense has been led so far this season by Corey Mackin (2-9—11) and Mitch Maloney (8-2—10), while Justin Kapelmaster and Darren Smith have split time in goal for a 2.88 goals against average and a .914 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 6-14-1 all-time against Bulldogs which is a series that dates back to Oct. 25, 1985 when FSU upended UAH 7-2 in Big Rapids, Michigan. UAH held the edge over FSU in the 2017-18 campaign, winning three of the four matchups between the programs last season.
