UPCOMING WEEKEND: The Chargers welcome rival Bemidji State for the final regular season home series of the 2016-17 regular season at the Von Braun Center this weekend, with puck drop slated for 7 p.m. on Friday prior to Saturday's 3 p.m. start time. UAH holds an all-time series record of 29-46-5 record against BSU and a record of 19-17-3 when playing in Huntsville.

RECENT ACTION: UAH maintained its eighth-place position in the WCHA standings with a series split Alaska, after falling in the series opener by score of 3-0 before topping the Nanooks for the first time since 1991 by a 4-1 final on Saturday. The Chargers now have 27 league points with a WCHA record of 8-13-3 while holding an 8-19-3 overall record.

SENIOR SCORING: Salhany leads the UAH senior class with 11 points on a career-best six goals and five assists so far this season, after posting his fifth career shorthanded goal in the series finale at UAF. In his four-year career, Salhany has accumulated 41 points on 16 goals and 25 assists, and has posted 10 points or more in three seasons.

HOMETOWN LEADER: Huntsville native
Josh Kestner remains atop the UAH offense with a career-high 22 points on nine goals and 13 assists in the 2016-17 season, after most recently scoring the game-winning goal on Saturday at UAF. Kestner now enters the weekend ranked 10th in the WCHA with 22 points and .73 points per game, a he is just the fourth Charger with 22 points in a season since 2009-10.

HELPER ON DEFENSE: Cam Knight chipped in his team-leading 14th assist of the season at Alaska on Saturday, and he's now ranked tied for second amongst WCHA defensemen with 14 assists. In WCHA games this season, Knight rates second among league blue liners with .61 points per game.

PACING THE BLUE LINERS: Kurt Gosselin is now tied for the team lead with nine goals this season, which are the most by a WCHA defenseman in league games so far this season. Gosselin also ranks tied for second on the roster with 18 points in addition to nine helpers in the 2016-17 campaign.

FINDING POINTS: The Chargers have a total of nine players who have reached double-digit point totals in the 2016-17 season, which is the most in the program's WCHA history and most since 2009-10 when the squad boasted 11 players with 10 points or more.
BEAVERS PROFILE: Bemidji State enters the weekend leading the WCHA with 58 league points on an 18-4-2 league record while holding an 18-11-3 overall mark after sweeping Michigan Tech by scores of 4-2 and 3-0 last weekend. The Beavers are led by Phillip Marinaccio with a team-best 23 points on nine goals and 14 assists, while Michael Bitzer has played the majority of time in goal for a 1.61 goals against average and a .935 save percentage.
