ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The UAH women's soccer team returns to action this weekend, traveling to Montevallo for a 5 p.m. contest on Friday before venturing to Auburn Montgomery on Sunday when kick-off is slated for 1 p.m. The Chargers enter the weekend at 3-5-0 (2-4-0 Gulf South Conference).

LAST TIME OUT: The Chargers dropped a pair of conference games at home last weekend, falling 1-0 in a heartbreaker to North Alabama and then taking a 2-0 setback to West Georgia.

WELCOME (BACK): This weekend's games against the in-state foes represent the first since Montevallo returned to the GSC and since AUM began its transition to Division II and the conference. The Falcons are immediately eligible for postseason play, while the Warhawks count in the conference standings but are not eligible for postseason play.

AROUND THE GSC: UNA's 6-0-0 start to conference play has the Lions at the top of the standings with 18 points, while Mississippi College at 5-1-0 is in second on 15 points. Christian Brothers and Lee both are 4-1-0 with 12 points, while each of West Florida, Valdosta State, and West Georgia are tied for fifth with nine points from their three conference wins. The Chargers are part of a group of four teams that have six points in conference action.

STOPPING SHOTS: Megan Buford is leading the GSC with 48 saves on the season, and she is coming off the best two-game stretch of her freshman campaign in number of saves as she posted 17 last weekend with eight against UNA and nine versus West Georgia.

ABOUT MONTEVALLO: The Falcons go into the weekend at 4-2-0 overall and 2-2-0 in GSC action. Both Kira Bochard and Tylor Ring have recorded three goals and an assist to lead UM offensively, while Sydney Young has a 1.75 goals against average in goal while logging the majority of minutes among UM's two keepers.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH trails in the all-time series with Montevallo by a 6-11-2 clip. The two teams met a year ago at UM, and the Chargers were 1-0 winners thanks to Arieal Alexander's 59th minute strike.

ABOUT AUBURN MONTGOMERY: The Warhawks – who will play West Alabama on Friday – head into this weekend at 2-4-0 (1-2-0 GSC), and the team is 0-3-0 in Montgomery. With seven points from two goals and three assists, Ruby Mendez leads the team in scoring.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 0-4-0 all-time against AUM.
