UPCOMING WEEKEND: UAH (7-15-2, 6-10-2 WCHA) continues its tour of the Last Frontier with a trip to Alaska Anchorage (1-15-4, 1-10-3 WCHA) this Friday and Saturday night, which will be the third and fourth time these two teams meet in 2017-18. Puck drops at 10:07 p.m. CT both nights at Sullivan Arena.

RECENT ACTION: The Chargers most recently notched a WCHA series split in a trip to Alaska Fairbanks over the weekend, as the Nanooks took the opener 3-2 before UAH won the Saturday matchup 3-1. UAH now sits in sixth place in the WCHA standings with 21 league points.

LEADING THE WAY: Huntsville native Josh Kestner scored his team-leading 15th goal of the season in the victory on Saturday, giving the senior a team-high 19 points from an additional four assists. Kestner – who ranks tied for eighth in the program's modern Division I history with 35 career goals – enters the weekend rated second in the WCHA in goal (15) and goals per game (.62), while leading the conference in the league slate with 13 goals and .72 goals per contest.

SOPHOMORE SURGE: Sophomore Austin Beaulieu led the Chargers offense during the weekend set in Fairbanks with three points on two goals and an assist, potting a goal in each game including the game-winner on Saturday. Beaulieu now boasts a career-best seven points from two goals and five assists in 2017-18.

BETWEEN THE PIPES: Jordan Uhelski made his 19th start in goal on Saturday and came away with the win after allowing just one goal and making 35 saves during the contest. Following his impressive performance, Uhelski now ranks second in the WCHA with a .911 save percentage and has faced the second-most shots in the conference.

ON THE BLOCK: UAH boasts a league-high 337 blocks so far in the 2017-18 campaign, as a total of seven players have posted 20 blocks or more. The Chargers are led by Cody Champagne with a team-high 43 blocks, which tied for fourth in the WCHA.

HOME SWEET HUNTSVILLE: The Chargers wrap up the 12-game road swing and the regular season road schedule at Alaska Anchorage this weekend and will look ahead to the start of a four-series homestand to wrap up the 2017-18 regular season at Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center. UAH has visits slated from rival Bemidji State (Jan. 26-27), Northern Michigan (Feb. 3-4), Minnesota State (Feb. 9-10) and Bowling Green (Feb. 23-24).

SEAWOLVES PROFILE: Alaska Anchorage begins the week with a 1-15-4 overall record and a 1-10-3 mark within the WCHA, following a pair of home losses to Minnesota State over the weekend. The Seawolves offense is paced by Austin Azurdia with 13 points on eight goals and five assists, while Olivier Mantha has played the majority of time in goal for a .911 save percentage and a 3.31 goals against average.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH and Alaska Anchorage will be meeting for the 32nd and 33rd times in this weekend's WCHA series, with the Seawolves holding a 20-8-3 edge in the all-time series. UAH, however, has had more success in recent years with a 6-2-2 record against UAA dating back to 2014-15.
