Box Score HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team dropped the WCHA series finale against No. 5 Minnesota State on Saturday night at the Von Braun Center by a final score of 6-1. UAH dips to 10-20-2 (9-15-2 WCHA), while MSU improves to 23-7-0 (19-5-0 WCHA).

- After UAH cut the deficit to 2-1 early into the second period, Minnesota State posted two unanswered goals in the second period by CJ Suess at 2:45 and Marc Michaelis at 10:12 on the way to the 6-1 win over UAH.

- Minnesota State took the first lead at 3:57 of the first period on a goal by Nicolas Rivera, followed by a tally at 16:21 of the stanza by Brad McClure.
- UAH jumped on the board at 1:01 of the second when
Richard Buri sent in his first goal of the season – a shorthanded tally – that cut the deficit to 2-1.
- MSU rebounded at 2:45 on the Suess tally to regain the two-goal lead before Michaelis' goal at 10:12 extended the Mavericks lead to 4-1.
- The Mavericks added to its lead early into the third at 1:29 on a goal by Daniel Brickley which made it a 5-1 advantage, followed by a goal by Jared Spooner at 9:28 which brought the game to its 6-1 final.
