GLVC OPENER: The UAH men's lacrosse team will play its first-ever Great Lakes Valley Conference game on Sunday when the team welcomes Maryville to Charger Park for a 12 p.m. contest. The Chargers enter the game at 3-1.

LAST TIME OUT: UAH picked up a pair of wins last weekend in Florida, defeating Embry-Riddle 14-5 and Palm Beach Atlantic 12-10. Kevin Coppinger had three goals and two assists in both contests for a team-best 10 points in the two-game span to earn him GLVC Player of the Week status.

STOPPING SHOTS: Sophomore Kyle Siersma had a strong weekend in goal for the Chargers in the Sunshine State, recording 11 saves in both contests to move his season total to 38 while going to 2-1 on the year. He was especially strong against ERAU, allowing just five goals – one of which with ERAU enjoying a man-advantage.

TORRID PACE: With 16 goals through four games, sophomore Luke LeVette is already more than halfway to his total of 31 from last year, and he is on pace to crush that number as he would score 60 goals if he maintained his current pace of four goals per contest.

SCOOPING 'EM UP: Junior Colton Nall leads the team with 22 groundballs on the year, a number that also is well on its way to surpassing his total of 41 from a year ago. In the game against Embry-Riddle, he matched his career high with eight which he had previously accomplished against Wingate on March 23, 2016, in his freshman campaign.

ABOUT MARYVILLE: The Saints are in their second year as a program and are 2-2 on the year after going 1-14 a season ago, and the team started GLVC action on Friday with a 13-5 setback at Young Harris. Tristan Snellgrove leads the team offensively with 12 points from nine goals and three assists, while William DeVinney has stopped 29 shots through four games in goal for Maryville.

SERIES HISTORY: This marks the first meeting between the two programs.
