HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's tennis team fell to visiting Lee on Thursday, dropping the contest by a 6-3 score. The Chargers slip to 5-5 (3-4 Gulf South Conference), while the Flames improve to 7-2 (4-1 GSC).

Lee claimed the three doubles points including by default at the No. 3 as the Chargers were once again forced to field a shorthanded lineup due to injuries.

In singles plays,
Cristina Cabanas picked up a comfortable 6-2, 6-1 win at the No. 2 spot, and winning by that same score line at the fifth was
Mariana Lopez.

UAH's other victory came from the top position where
Stefanie Mehlich won 6-1, 6-4.

Sarah Stearman put up a solid challenge at the third, but she ultimately fell 6-4, 7-5.

The Chargers will be back in action on Friday, March 23, when the team faces Shorter in Huntsville at 1 p.m.
