HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey program and head coach Mike Corbett announced ten additions to the team for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

The ten newcomers to the program will join the collection of 18 returnees from last season to round out the roster for the new campaign.

Ben Allen
Position: Forward
Hometown: Allen, Texas
Previous Team: Penticton Vees (BCHL)
Height: 5-9

Bio: Played the majority of the 2017-18 campaign with the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League where he made 37 appearances with 11 points on four goals and seven assists … Appeared in 16 games for the Melfort Mustangs of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League with 14 points (7g-7a) … Spent most of the 2016-17 campaign with the Battlefords North Stars of the SJHL where he helped the team to an SJHL Championship and also earned a slot on the SJHL All-Rookie Team … Posted 45 points on 19 goals and 26 assists in 44 appearances with the North Stars … Also played with the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the Alberta Junior Hockey League in 2016-17 and the Aston Rebels of the North American Hockey League in 2015-16.

Bio: Played the 2017-18 campaign with the Markham Royals of the Ontario Junior Hockey League … Led the Royals in assists (56) and ranked second in points (79) while also scoring 23 times … Earned Second Team All-OJHL in 2017-18 … Played part of the 2015-16 season and all of 2016-17 with the Oakville Blades of the OJHL, where he posted 64 career games with 25 goals and 42 assists … Played the 2014-15 season and part of 2015-16 with the Burlington Cougars of the OJHL, totaling 76 career games and 84 points (33g-51a) with the team.
