MEMPHIS, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball head coach Hunter Royer became the program's all-time wins leader on Friday afternoon with a 15-3 victory over Christian Brothers to start the weekend.

Royer – who has been at the helm of the Chargers since the 2010 campaign – has accrued a career record of 277-172-2 over the past nine seasons, as he's coached the squad to a Gulf South Conference Championship in 2014 and NCAA South Regional appearances in 2012 and 2014.

Former UAH head coach Bobby Pierce previously held the program's all-time wins record with a career record of 276-108 from 1995-2002.

Additionally in his career at UAH, Royer has coached two MLB Amateur Draft selections, five All-Americans, two GSC Players of the Year, one ABCA, D2CCA and NCBWA South Region Player of the Year, two GSC Freshmen of the Year, and 35 All-GSC honorees.

UAH looks ahead to a doubleheader on Saturday at CBU at 11 a.m. to wrap up the three-game GSC series.
