BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference unveiled its weekly women's lacrosse award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Katie Gerber as GSC Freshman of the Week.
 
Gerber has now collected three GSC Freshman of the Week awards in the 2019 campaign.
 
A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Gerber tied for the team lead in goals scored with two tallies in the 8-6 win over Findlay last Monday. The freshman additionally posted two ground balls and one caused turnover in the victory.
 
This season, Gerber is tied for second on the roster with 19 points on 16 goals and three assists, while boasting a team-high 27 draw controls in seven games.
 
UAH wraps up its four-game homestand on Thursday at 6 p.m. against Charleston at Charger Park.
