FORT WAYNE, Ind. | The Fort Wayne Komets of the ECHL have signed The University of Alabama in Huntsville senior
Cam Knight to a contract this past Saturday.

Knight is now the third Charger from the 2018-19 roster to sign with an NHL affiliated club, as both
Kurt Gosselin (Rochester/AHL) and Hans Gorowksy (Adirondack/ECHL) inked contracts earlier this spring.

A native of North Reading, Massachusetts, Knight played a total of 131 games in his four-year career with the Chargers with a total of 44 points on six goals and 38 assists.

This past season, Knight rated second amongst UAH defensemen 10 points on two goals and eight assists, while ranking tied for 11th nationally with 79 blocks on the defensive end.

UAH ended the season with an 8-28-2 overall record and 8-18-2 within the WCHA, as the Chargers earned a trip to the WCHA playoffs in consecutive seasons.
