BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its 2019 season awards on Tuesday afternoon, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by
Nolan Ramsey as a First Team All-GSC honoree and
Tyler McCown as a Second Team All-GSC awardee.

This was Ramsey's second All-GSC honoree as he was a Second Team selection in 2018, while McCown collects his first career all-conference honor.

A native of New Market, Alabama, Ramsey leads the Chargers and ranks eighth in the league with a .371 batting average to go along with eight doubles, three triples, four homers and 36 RBI as the squad's right fielder.

In his career at UAH, Ramsey boasts a .356 batting average with 21 doubles, 10 triples, 13 homers and 97 RBI over three seasons in the Blue & White.

McCown – a Fayetteville, Tennessee, native – rated second on the roster with a .336 average while leading the roster with 39 runs and 17 stolen bases. The sophomore additionally posted 11 doubles, two triples, two homers and 28 RBI in the 2019 campaign.

UAH looks ahead to the start of play in the 2019 Gulf South Conference Championships on Friday at 4 p.m. as the fourth seed against fifth-seeded Montevallo.
