HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey program and head coach Mike Corbett announced the 2019-20 season schedule which features a total of seven home series for the Chargers at the Von Braun Center.
 
The Chargers 34-game slate begins with four straight games on the road as UAH travels to UMass Lowell on Oct. 4-5 to open the season before another nonconference meeting at Nebraska Omaha on Oct. 11-12. UAH last played at UMass Lowell in the 2011-12 campaign, while the squad's last trip to UNO came in 2014-15.
 
UAH opens the 2019-20 home schedule following a one-week break at the VBC with reigning MacNaughton Cup Champion and NCAA tournament qualifier Minnesota State on Oct. 25-26, which also begins Western Collegiate Hockey Association play for the season.
 
The Chargers then travel to Northern Michigan on Nov. 1-2 for their first road WCHA contests of the season, prior to returning home on Nov. 8-9 against Alaska Anchorage. UAH repeats that sequence the following two weeks with a trip to Bemidji State on Nov. 22-23 and a home set on Nov. 29-30 with Northern Michigan.
 
Three straight road series follow the NMU contests, as UAH travels to NCAA tournament qualifier Bowling Green on Dec. 6-7, Ferris State on Dec. 13-14 and North Dakota on Jan. 3-4 prior to a return to the Rocket City on Jan. 10-11 with a rival series against Bemidji State.
 
UAH makes the trek to Alaska Anchorage on Jan. 17-18, as the squad follows up the trip with back-to-back home series on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 against Michigan Tech and Feb. 7-8 versus Alaska Fairbanks.
 
The Chargers finalize the road schedule at Lake Superior State (Feb. 14-15) and Minnesota State (Feb. 21-22), before the final home series of the 2019-20 campaign on Feb. 28-29 against Bowling Green.
 
All UAH hockey home games will be played at 7:07 p.m. at the Von Braun Center.
 
UAH ended the 2018-19 season with an 8-28-2 overall record and 8-18-2 within the league, as the Chargers earned a trip to the WCHA playoffs in consecutive seasons.
