Mike Corbett has been selected to be an assistant on the U.S. Under-17 Men's Select Team that will compete in the 2019 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament.

Corbett is one of two assistants on the U.S. Under-17 Men's Select Team, which is guided by head coach Matthew Curley who is also at the helm of fellow WCHA member Alaska Anchorage.

The 2019 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament is set for August 13-17 in Füssen, Germany, where the U.S. will compete alongside the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovakia and Switzerland.

The U.S. Under-17 Select Team is comprised of players selected from USA Hockey's Boys Select 16 Player Development Camp, which provides participants with elite instruction, as well as the opportunity to compete at the national level against other players in their age group.

Last year, Team USA skated to its 12th consecutive top-three finish, posting two wins and two losses to take third place. Since 2007, the United States has claimed first place at the Five Nations tournament seven times, the most recent championship coming in 2017. The team also placed first in 2016, 2015, 2013, 2012, 2011, and 2010.
