PENSACOLA, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville tennis teams have representatives this weekend at the 2019 ITA South Regional in Pensacola, Florida, and hosted by West Florida.
 
On the women's side, Karolin Kirchtag, Stefanie Mehlich, Leonie Nutz, and Presley Thomas are playing in the fall individual team event, while the men's team has sent James Caddies, Timo Christen, and Sebastian Rohrbach.
 
FRIDAY RESULTS
The Chargers earned three wins on the day as Mehlich picked up a 6-4, 6-0 win in the opening round of singles play as did Leonie Nutz who won by default. UAH's other victory came in men's doubles as Rohrbach and Caddies teamed up for an 8-3 victory in the pair's opening-round match.

SATURDAY
UAH picked up three more wins on Saturday with a doubles pairing and two singles players advancing through the consolation bracket. In women's doubles, the pairing of Mehlich and Kirchtag advanced into the consolation quarterfinals with a 6-3 victory, and Kirchtag was also a winner in the first round of the singles consolation as she picked up a 6-3, 7-6 victory. In men's singles, Christen bounced back from being blanked in the first set to win the next two 6-4, 10-4 to advance.
