TOLEDO, Ohio | Former University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey standout
Josh Kestner has been named to the 2020 Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic presented by Toyota at Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita, Kansas, on January 22 as a member of the Toledo Walleye.

A Huntsville native, Kestner leads Toledo's offense with 38 points on a team-high 17 goals in addition to 21 assists through only 32 games played in the 2019-20 campaign.

Kestner was a member of the UAH hockey program from 2014-2018, appearing in a total of 132 games in the Blue & White and accumulating 68 career points on 44 goals and 24 assists. Kestner leads all Chargers in career points and goals in the WCHA era, as he ranks sixth in the program's modern Division I history in goals and tied for 13th in points.

In his senior season at UAH, he finished with a WCHA-best 24 goals in addition to notching eight assists for a team-high 32 points in 2017-18.

He is one of nine rostered players to be from Huntsville in the program's history.

The Warrior/ECHL All-Star Classic will feature a 3-on-3 tournament with four teams competing for the top spot. The host Wichita Thunder will make up two of the four teams and face-off against the other two teams made up of All-Star players from the Eastern and Western Conference. These four teams will compete in a 3-on-3 tournament with rally scoring in order to crown a winner.

The 2020 Kansas Star Casino/ECHL All-Star Skills Competition will take place in between rounds of the tournament, with results counting towards the cumulative score.
