West Announces 13 Additions to UAH Hockey Roster

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey program and head coach Lance West announced the addition of 13 student-athletes to the roster for the 2020-21 season.
 
A breakdown of all 13 newcomers to the UAH hockey program can be found below.

Ayodele Adeniye
Position: Defenseman
Hometown: Columbus, Ohio
Previous Team: Carleton Place Canadians (CCHL)
Height: 6-5
Weight: 190
Coaching Staff on Adeniye: "Ayo is a player who is big in stature and isn't afraid of playing a physical game. He skates very well and has a good active stick. We want to be a hard team to play against and Ayo is a piece that will help us do just that."
 
Bio: Played the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Carleton Place Canadians of the Central Canada Hockey League … Appeared in 121 career games with the Carleton Place, accumulating 12 goals and 29 assists for 41 points … Posted 19 points on seven goals and 12 assists in 48 games in 2019-20 … Appeared in 59 regular season games and 14 playoff games in 2018-19, totaling 22 points on five goals and 17 assists … Captain of the Next Gen Diversity AAA squad … Played youth hockey for AAA Columbus Blue Jackets.
 
Jonah Alexander
Position: Forward
Hometown: Toronto, Ontario
Previous Team: St. Michael's Buzzers (OJHL)
Height: 5-11
Weight: 185
Coaching Staff on Alexander: "Jonah is a player who has a very high hockey IQ with very good passing skills. He is a person who does not take any days off and leads by example with his high work-ethic. We know he will continue to do that as a Charger."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with St. Michael's Buzzers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League … OJHL First Team All-Star in 2019-20 … Appeared in 212 career games with the Buzzers, posting 63 goals and 132 assists for 195 points … Had a career-high 78 points on 25 goals and 53 assists in 54 games in 2019-20 as team captain … Led the roster in points and was in the top five of the OJLHL in 2019-20 … Had 20 or more points in each of his four seasons at St. Michael's.
 
Tyrone Bronte
Position: Forward
Hometown: Melbourne, Australia
Previous Team: Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights (NAHL)
Height: 5-11

Coaching Staff on Bronte: "Tyrone is a strong skater with offensive upside. He will be used up and down the lineup and we expect him to grow into a top line center over his career at UAH. Tyrone is a player who thinks the game fast and sees things on the ice before they happen. He will enhance the style of the game we want to play."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights of the North American Hockey League … Appeared in 155 career games with the Knights, posting 41 goals and 75 assists for 116 points … Had a career-high 48 points on 12 goals and a team-high 36 assists in 2019-20 as the squad's captain … Played three games with the Omaha Lancers of the USHL in 2017-18 … Member of the Australia U18 Team in 2016-17.
 
Joshua Corrow
Position: Defenseman
Hometown: New Port Richey, Fla.
Previous Team: Whitecourt Wolverines (AJHL)

Coaching Staff on Corrow: "Josh is a player who sees the ice very well and is very good at making the first pass out of his own zone. Josh is a blue-collar player and does everything the right way. Josh is a great addition to the Charger program and is a great example of the type of player and person we want to build our program with."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League … Alternate captain for the squad for 2019-20 … Appeared in 118 career games with eight goals and 25 assists for 33 points … Posted a career-high 17 points on two goals and 15 assists in 57 regular season games in 2019-20.
 
Noah Finstrom
Position: Forward
Hometown: New Baltimore, Mich.
Previous Team: Jamestown Rebels (NAHL)
Height: 5-10

Coaching Staff on Finstrom: "Noah is a speedy forward who uses his speed to his advantage. Noah has a very good motor and competes every day. We believe Noah's game will continue to grow as he brings competition and energy to games and practice every day."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Jamestown Rebels of the North American Hockey League … Appeared in 117 career games with Jamestown, registering 24 goals and 49 assists for 73 points … Had a career-high 42 points on 16 goals and 26 assists in 53 regular season games in 2019-20.
 
Quinn Green
Position: Forward
Hometown: West Chicago, Ill.
Previous Team: Topeka Pilots (NAHL)
Height: 5-11
Weight: 180
Coaching Staff on Green: "Quinn has very good knock for scoring goals. He is a player that can create goals on his own, but most importantly knows how to be in the right place at the right time for scoring. He has very good overall skill set and plays with lots of passion. We expect Quinn to come in and use his skill set and keep playing with lots of fire and passion."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Topeka Pilots of the North American Hockey League, leading the squad in goals in both seasons … Appeared in 106 career games with 44 goals and 34 assists for 78 points … Posted 39 points on 20 goals and 19 assists in 50 games in 2019-20 … Appeared in 56 games in 2018-19 with 39 points on 24 goals and 15 assists.
 
Mick Heneghan
Position: Defenseman
Hometown: Niles, Ill.
Previous Team: Northeast Generals (NAHL)
Height: 5-11
Weight: 175
Coaching Staff on Heneghan: "Mick is a player who likes to join the offense as a defenseman. He's a very mobile skater and uses that to his advantage, taking time and space away for his opponents. We believe Mick will grow into a very good offensive-minded defenseman who can play in all situations."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2019-20 campaign with the Northeast Generals of the North American Hockey League … Played in 48 games with 37 points on three goals and 34 assists in 2019-20, leading all NAHL defensemen in points … Spent the 2018-19 campaign with the New Jersey Rockets of the National Collegiate Development Conference … Appeared in 50 games with 34 points from nine goals and 25 assists with the Rockets … Played with three NAHL organizations in 2017-18, including the Lone Star Brahmas, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights, Amarillo Bulls.
 
Derek Krall
Position: Goalie
Hometown: Crofton, British Columbia

Coaching Staff on Krall: "Derek is a very calm and poised goaltender. We believe Derek has the Physical and mental ability and mentality to develop into a very good starting goalie at the college level.  We expect Derek to push the returners to be better and compete for time in the net as a freshman."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the majority of the 2019-20 season with the Powell River Kings of the British Columbia Hockey League … Played in 30 games with the River Kings, posting a 2.62 goals against average and .917 save percentage … Appeared in 20 career games with the Penticton Vees of the BCHL between 2018-19 and 2019-20 … Earned 2017-18 Victoria Island Junior Hockey League Goaltender of the Year with the Nanaimo Buccaneers.
 
Nick Michel
Position: Forward
Hometown: Waconia, Minn.

Coaching Staff on Michel: "Nick is a hard-working player and loves the physical aspect of the game. Nick has gone through a lot in his junior career and that has made him a stronger person. He's shown that he can battle through anything is thrown at him.  We know Nick will bring his high energy and grit to our team."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2019-20 season with the Janesville Jets of the North American Hockey League, appearing in 32 games with 14 points on seven goals and seven assists … Made 55 appearances in 2017-18 with the Minnesota Wilderness of the NAHL … Posted 24 points on six goals and 18 assists in 2017-18.
 
Brian Scoville
Position: Defenseman
Hometown: Agawam, Mass.
Previous Team: Langley Rivermen (BCHL)
Height: 6-3
Weight: 220
Coaching Staff on Scoville: "Brian plays very quiet game and that is a big compliment for a defenseman. He has good awareness on the ice and makes smart and simple plays with the puck. He can shut down other teams' top players. He is a player who will take the hit to make the play and will sacrifice his body in the process.  Brian will help us by playing those hard minutes and he will frustrate his opponents."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Langley Rivermen of the British Columbia Hockey League … Appeared in 111 career games with Langley, recording 35 points on four goals and 31 assists … Posted a career-high 21 points on three goals and 18 assists in 49 regular season games in 2019-20 as one of the squad's alternate captains.
 
Bennett Stockdale
Position: Forward
Hometown: Ottawa, Ontario
Previous Team: Johnstown Hawks (NAHL)

Coaching Staff on Stockdale: "We like Bennett's game below the circles. He plays a hard game down low and is not afraid go to the front of the net and battle. He is player that plays hard with or without a puck. Bennett is a high-end character and willingness to be a great teammate on and off the ice."
 
Prior to UAH: Played with the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Johnstown Tomahawks of the North American Hockey League … Appeared in 116 career games with 30 goals and 52 assists for 82 career points … Alternate captain for Johnstown in 2019-20, posting 42 points on 12 goals and 30 assists in 50 games … Member of the Kanata Lasers of the Central Canada Hockey League in the 2015-16, 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons, playing in 126 career with 26 goals and 43 assists.
 
Frank Vitucci
Position: Forward
Hometown: Yardley, Pa.
Previous Team: Wellington Dukes (OJHL)

Coaching Staff on Vitucci: "Frank has very good shot and he uses his quick release to surprise goalies. He plays with a lot of effort. We love Frank's relentless play away from the puck and he will bring good pace to our game."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Wellington Dukes of the Ontario Junior Hockey League … Appeared in 132 career games with the Dukes, posting 62 goals and 61 assists for 123 points … OJHL All-Star in 2019-20 … Had a career-high 67 points on a team-high 36 goals and 31 assists in 54 regular season games in 2019-20.
 
Connor Witherspoon
Position: Forward
Hometown: Metamore, Mich.
Previous Team: Shreveport Mudbugs (NAHL)

Coaching Staff on Witherspoon: "Connor is a very good playmaker and can find his partners very well on the ice. Connor is very responsible player at both ends of the rink and always puts the team first. We look forward Connor coming in and contributing in many different situations."
 
Prior to UAH: Played the 2018-19 and 2019-20 seasons with the Shreveport Mudbugs of the North American Hockey League … Appeared in 107 career games with the Mudbugs, registering 12 goals and 44 assists for 56 points … Had a career-best 35 points on five goals and a team-high 30 assists in 52 games in 2019-20 as one of the squad's alternate captains.
