BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly women's lacrosse award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by Katie Gerber as GSC Offensive Player of the Week.
 
This is Gerber's first career GSC Offensive Player of the Week award, after being named GSC Freshman of the Week a league-high nine times in 2019.
 
A native of Louisville, Gerber led the Chargers offense with 10 points on four goals and roster-best six assists in games against No. 6 Tampa and Palm Beach Atlantic over the weekend.
 
Gerber additionally ranked tied for second on the squad with four draw controls.
 
The Chargers look ahead to their first home game of the 2020 campaign on Friday at Charger Park at 6 p.m. against Lewis.
