BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference announced its weekly baseball award winners, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville was represented by
John Trousdale as GSC Player of the Week.

This is Trousdale's first career GSC weekly award.

A native of Rogersville, Alabama, Trousdale led the Chargers offense to five wins this week with a .391 average (9-for-23), eight runs, four homers, 13 RBI, one double, and 22 total bases in games against Spring Hill and West Alabama.

During the three-game sweep of West Alabama, Trousdale batted .400 (6-for-15) with three homers, 11 RBI and three walks. The senior had a spectacular performance in the sweep-clinching win on Sunday with two homers and eight RBI, which are the second most runs driven in by a Charger in a single game in program history and tied for the most by a GSC player this season.

Overall in 2020, Trousdale leads the Chargers roster with 15 runs, 21 base hit, four homers, 21 RBI and 14 walks. He enters the week second in the GSC in both RBI and walks through 17 games this season.
