HUNTSVILLE | The Gulf South Conference announced its 2020 Winter Academic All-GSC Teams and the Winter Academic Honor Roll on Wednesday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville featured seven Academic All-GSC selections and a conference-best 62 who landed on the Academic Honor Roll.
 
The sports of women's basketball, men's basketball, women's indoor track and field, and men's indoor track and field were included, marking the first time that indoor track and field has been part of the winter awards.
 
Among the seven Academic All-GSC selections are returning honorees Aryn Sanders from women's hoops and men's basketball's JJ Kaplan who both earned the accolade in 2019.
 
The other choices for Academic All-GSC include Max Shulman from men's basketball, women's indoor track and field representatives Serenity Andrus and Emee Baldwin, and Jay Day and Garrison Hill of men's indoor track and field.
 
The Academic All-GSC Teams are comprised of student-athletes with at least a 3.20 GPA while also being a starter or significant contributor athletically.
 
The GSC Honor Roll recognizes all student-athletes who competed and have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00.
 
UAH's 62 student-athletes on the Honor Roll lead the league.
