HUNTSVILLE | The 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large Teams have been announced, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team is represented by sophomore
Katie Gerber who is a member of the team from District 5.

District 5 for the purpose of the at-large teams is comprised of institutions from the South Region, and voting is conducted by the region's athletics communications professionals who are members of CoSIDA.

Gerber currently boasts a 4.0 GPA in the classroom as a nursing major.

In the 2020 campaign, the sophomore ranked second overall on the offense with 40 points on 20 goals and 20 assists, while owning a team-best 18 ground balls.

Over her two seasons in the Blue & White, Gerber has appeared in 26 games with 103 points on 68 goals and 35 assists.

Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America ballot. Academic All-America honorees will be announced from June 16-19.

The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2019-20 Divisions II and III Academic All-America programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
