HOUGHTON, Mich. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team opened its Western Collegiate Hockey Association schedule for the 2020-21 season with a 4-0 loss at Michigan Tech on Saturday afternoon. UAH dips to 0-4-1, while MTU rises to 5-3-1.

-After a scoreless first period by both teams, Michigan Tech pulled ahead in the second period with a trio of goals in the frame which helped the hosts top UAH 4-0 on Saturday.

Scoring Breakdown
-Michigan Tech broke the scoreless tie in the second period at 6:42 on a goal by Brian Halonen, followed by a goal at 12:11 of the frame by Nick Nardella to put the Huskies ahead 2-0.
-MTU added another late goal in the second period at the 18:32 mark with a power-play marker by Trenton Bliss to make it a 3-0 lead.
-The Huskies went on to register one more goal in the third stanza, with Tyler Rockwell scoring at 13:22.
