HOUGHTON, Mich. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team dropped the Western Collegiate Hockey Association series finale on Sunday afternoon at Michigan Tech by a final score of 2-1. UAH dips to 0-5-1, while MTU rises to 6-3-1.
 
Turning Point
-Michigan Tech opened up the first period with two goals in the first five minutes, which helped the Huskies to the 2-1 win on Sunday.
 
Scoring Breakdown
-The Huskies went on the board first in the opening period with a power-play goal at 3:14 by Tyler Rockwell, followed by a marker from Chris Lipe at 4:41 for a 2-0 MTU lead.
-UAH broke through at the 13:39 mark of the first period when Noah Finstrom forced a turnover behind the MTU net and backhanded in the Chargers lone goal of the contest.
